About OAFF
OAFF is the first online African and Diaspora film festival that gives viewers access to African culture and unique stories told by Africans. Launched by Cinewax, an association that has been promoting African cinema and culture since 2015 through media, film festivals and other events, the OAFF platform offers global audiences access to African cinema all year round.
Challenge
Cinewax partnered with Magine Pro looking to change their existing platform provider in need of a higher-quality and scalable solution. The Magine Pro built OAFF service was required to house their existing VOD movie library, champion the OAFF brand and launch on web, iOS and Android platforms. The OAFF service was also required to be globally accessible, with the ability to be localised to suit international markets with multi-language, multi-currency and geoblock capabilities.

Magine Pro provided a full end-to-end video streaming service for Cinewax. The OAFF branded service featured a professional, user-friendly UI that enabled subscribers from around the world to explore a wealth of African cinema and culture.
Cinewax were given the tools to independently curate and manage their service, including the ability to hero content and create unique content categories via the Magine Pro CMS Console.
The VOD service was available worldwide and accessible via web, iOS and Android platforms.
