Silverline Television AG has operated a German pay-TV channel, Silverline TV since 2003. The movie channel focuses exclusively on horror, action, crime, thriller and Asian cinema genres.

Challenge

Silverline TV approached Magine Pro looking to build a subscription service for their linear HD movie channel and 30-day catch-up content. The service was to feature a traditional EPG alongside a VOD-like discovery page to hero their movie content. The branded service was to be available on web, iOS, and Android applications and launch in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Solution

Create a Silverline TV branded Magine Pro OTT service.

Ingest and add the Silverline HD linear TV channel to the service and enable 30-day catch-up on movie content with the correct rights.

Provide secure access to the Magine Pro Console, enabling Silverline TV to independently manage and curate the service.

Set up parental control and content pin codes as required in launch markets.

Enable subscription payment for Silverline TV customers through the service - supported by payment provider Adyen.

Deploy the Silverline TV branded web service and iOS and Android applications in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Leverage Magine Pro’s CDN provisioning network and distribution infrastructure to ensure high-quality and low-latency video streams 24/7 to all requesting devices.

Result

Magine Pro successfully deployed a Silverline TV branded OTT service on web, iOS, and Android applications. Using Magine Pro’s CMS console, Silverline TV was able to create a VOD-like service using just one linear HD movie channel and 30 days catch-up rights. The service features an intuitive EPG alongside content categories that display VOD, including an upcoming content feature that enables subscribers to browse content that is coming soon to the service. Silverline TV is available to download now in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
