Founded in 2002 in Stockholm, Sweden Plejmo had the largest movie library in the Nordics market. The TVOD service delivered great movies to viewers anytime, anywhere, and on any platform using the latest technology.

Challenge

Plejmo joined Magine in 2015 looking to migrate their streaming service and subscribers from their existing OTT platform vendor to Magine Pro’s OTT platform. Plejmo’s frontend custom designed service was to be maintained and integrated to Magine Pro platform through APIs while backend and CRM services were migrated to the Magine Pro platform.

Solution

Migrate Plejmo’s existing service and subscribers from their current OTT platform vendor to Magine Pro’s platform with no downtime or loss of quality of experience.

Consolidate all of Plejmo’s third party OTT vendors and services to one end-to-end OTT platform solution, Magine Pro.

Maintain Plejmo’s frontend customised OTT service and integrate subscriber registration, login, payments and metadata to Magine Pro’s platform through Magine API’s.

Provide Plejmo with encoding, editing and quality control services for raw content files received by content studios.

Activate TVOD and EST payment models, with innovative dynamic pricing and wallet integration.

Provide 1st line customer support for Plejmo customers.

Provide additional support for Samsung Smart TV platforms.

Support for 4K resolution.

Result

Magine Pro enabled the leading Nordic TVOD service, Plejmo to continue to grow their 500,000 subscriber base and streamline their operations by consolidating all OTT services to the Magine Pro OTT platform. Magine Pro provided Plejmo a one-stop shop, enabling to ingest, transcode, store and playout their content, and at the same time stay at the market forefront with innovative solutions and features such as dynamic pricing and 4K resolution support.
